Viblast Player v6.07 adds enhanced DASH playback for iOS

The latest Viblast Player update, v.6.07, brings support for video-on-demand (VoD) for native MPEG-DASH playback in iOS applications as well as a number of improvements to our web player.

You can download the new version here or visit the HLS and MPEG-DASH playback demos on our website. Viblast Player’s iOS SDK is available for download and testing via our GitHub repository.

For all of you already using Viblast Player, you may be happy to see certain bugs fixed - thank you for your feedback!

The full release notes for Viblast Player v.6.07:

  • iOS SDK - added VoD functionality (seek support)
  • Proper handling of H.264 pixel aspect ratio (widescreen signaling)
  • Fixed possible data corruption when HLS encryption key is changed
  • Fixed issue with calling viblast().setup() immediately after calling viblast().stop()
  • For previously played videos, fixed 'ended' not being fired a second time after seek
  • Various smaller bug fixes
